•Manage difficult behaviors of your person
•Take better care of yourself
•Plan for the future
You will get…
•Ideas and support from other caregivers and trained staff
•Information on resources
•A free workbook to keep
You may be able to take the workshop if you**…
•Have access to the internet
•Provide care to someone with memory loss or dementia who receives medical care at UCSF or Bassett primary care clinics
•Receive your own healthcare at UCSF or Bassett (now or in the past 3 years)
** We may need to speak to you by telephone to confirm your eligibility. Only one caregiver per household can join the program.
There is no cost to you for participating.
Will I definitely get in a workshop?
If you are determined to be eligible then, yes, you will get into a workshop, but you may need to wait before your workshop starts. We need around 25 caregivers to start a workshop. If you have to wait, we may send you newsletter information relevant to caregivers.
Can I choose when I start a workshop?
Unfortunately, there may not be flexibility because workshops can only occur when we have enough caregivers and workshop staff to conduct one.
